Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience in app development or software engineering
  • 5 years of experience on the Salesforce platform as a senior developer or architect
  • 5 years of experience as a manager leading engineering teams

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience on the Salesforce platform and third-party ecosystems delivering Salesforce-based solutions for stakeholder groups
  • Experience being an architect, technical design, and implementation on Salesforce platform
  • Experience collaborating across engineering teams, dealing with ambiguity, solving problems, and scaling effectively across an organization and distributed team
  • Experience in cross-disciplinary technical business architecture, systems design, systems integration, data architecture, and solutions delivery
  • Experience in the architecture of Salesforce-based solutions
  • Excellent customer empathy, attention to detail, and communication skills

About the job

The YouTube Business Technology team focuses on ensuring our business organization can evolve at the speed of YouTube. We provide the internal tools and systems that deliver the information, capabilities, and insights necessary to empower our users in YouTube’s business organization to help our partners, and YouTube, continue to grow. As an Application Engineering Manager you will lead the Salesforce-focused team that provides business systems for the YouTube Partnerships. Your work will enable our Partnerships teams to provide outcome-focused insights for our top YouTube creators. Outcomes of the team keep the YouTube business organization nimble, able to understand partner needs and innovate accordingly. You will be part of a leadership team identifying technical opportunities, setting systems strategy, and delivering Salesforce-based business systems. You lead technical design and implementation teams to create and execute on product road maps, delivering technology that drives user value and builds trust. You will move between the big picture and small details, understand stakeholder needs, set a strategy, and leverage resources to deliver the end product.

Additional Information

(Colorado only*) Minimum salary range between $180,000 – $194,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

*Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation range for this role when being hired into our offices in Colorado.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a technical team to deliver reliable, trusted systems that create concrete business value in a Salesforce-centric ecosystem.
  • Be a technical expert on the Salesforce platform with experience building and delivering Salesforce-based implementations to drive business success.
  • Lead engineering and quality assurance teams.
  • Drive development and architectural best practices across the team, driving a culture of ownership, accountability for quality, and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Ensure YouTube’s Salesforce organizations meet all applicable security and privacy requirements.
