Our growing company is looking for a Business Developer to accelerate our US business. Work with our strong US partners, establish a local Cytosurge presence and make a significant contribution to our success story. This is a unique opportunity to be a key part of a cutting-edge, growing company.

Your Challenge

  • Grow both sales and reach of FluidFM technology in the US market as key member of our Sales & Marketing team
  • Create business plans for the assigned territory including but not limited to opportunity development, competitive strategies and targets
  • Achieve targeted sales growth through new customer acquisition in the assigned territory
  • Perform active prospecting, lead generation and consistent funnel management to improve sales and establish brand recognition
  • Drive market share by product presentations at targeted key accounts, webinars, trade shows, workshops or other events
  • Track and communicate market trends to/from the field including competitor data and develop and lead towards a sustainable competitive advantage
  • Maintain up to date detailed knowledge of competitors’ products and services and be able to present and discuss the company’s technology and benefits in terms which are relevant to customers
  • Drive and initiate development of new business opportunities working with the company’s management
  • Continuously update and improve the company’s understanding and knowledge regarding the customer’s changing operational issues, challenges and sales process
  • Become primary company representative to US customers working closely with and being supported by Cytosurge HQ in Switzerland
  • Work tightly with our US partners at Olympus Scientific Solutions America and leverage their marketing and sales efforts, both through your business acumen and application insights

Your Profile

  • Experienced and connected in the US life science, pharma and biotech market
  • Technical or scientific degree in cell or molecular biology (or similar), preferably a Ph.D.
  • Winning personality and demonstrated success in selling capital equipment in the life science market
  • Strong strategic and conceptual skills combined with a good business acumen
  • You enjoy measurable targets and look forward to increasing sales and lead generation
  • You enjoy presenting exciting technology and applications to other scientists
  • You like to connect with people by phone, email or social media
  • You act with integrity, build trust and treat everyone with respect
  • Comfortable working digitally in a cloud-based environment
  • Proactive, well organized, and reliable

Additional requirements:

  • The position requires covering the entire US and a significant part of the time may be spent in the field with overnight travel required
  • This is a home office-based position and as such, the candidate must reside within the territory
