Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Horizon Health and Mental Outcomes

With 40 years of experience in behavioral health, Horizon Health’s specialized management, clinical expertise and depth of resources enable its client hospitals to expand the range of clinical services provided to the hospital’s patients and community. Horizon wishes to further enhance these service offerings and expand our footprint in the Behavioral Health continuum of care. We are looking for a Chief Executive Officer that thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and is motivated to make a positive impact within the Healthcare industry. This is a unique chance to take a successful business of 40 years and spearhead the expansion of Horizon Health’s service capabilities.

Horizon Health is currently seeking a dynamic Executive with proven success in product management within the healthcare and or healthcare technology sector. Candidates must show a strong employment history with progressive growth throughout their career. The ideal Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will be responsible for the transformation of the existing business into actionable concepts, timelines and programs while managing the financial implications, marketing needs and overall objectives of the BH management business product line.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Communicates the vision and priorities of Horizon Health and Mental Health Outcomes across the company to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Leads the evaluation of Horizon Health and Mental Health Outcome trends and their implications for product vision and roadmap with a focus towards build out a value-based care model.
  • Ensures that every function in Horizon Health and MHO is led by a unified and cohesive vision and shared priorities.
  • Establishes governance, policies, processes, and communication to deliver reliable collaborative care products across the medical and behavioral landscape.
  • Drives the business development of hospital unit management business.
  • Partners with SVP of Sales, Analytic Team, SVP of Practice and Operations to further build out distribution channels across patients, payers, employers, members and or providers.
  • Oversees product pipeline and development efforts as part of Collaborative Care Product portfolio.
  • Partners with Horizon and Mental Health Outcomes via multiple areas in the design and continuous improvement of the product offerings.
  • Compiles and analyzes data to demonstrate growth and profitability of current and new business.
  • Presents data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Identifies talent gaps and engages in the interviewing, recruitment and hiring and mentoring of key personnel across the team.
  • Builds trusting relationships and inspires others through exemplary leadership shadow.



  • Ten years plus progressive experience product management in the health care sector/and or healthcare technology/analytics space.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare reimbursement dynamics
  • Understands portfolio, product management experience in marketing, client, or patient member experience- including NPS, consumer NPS and market research experience in developing or managing product vision, goals (OKRs) benefits and KPI measurement
  • Proficient with incorporating research, insights, and performance goals into strategic prioritization of product projects and goals, with measured outcomes.
  • Passionate about understanding customer problems and jobs to be done.
  • Mix of start-up, growth stage, and large company experience desirable
  • Experience in matrixed organization
  • Substantial P&L experience
  • Expert communication, change management and listening skills
  • Team player, personable, empathetic, and diplomatic
  • Excellent business acumen, problem solving, negotiating skills, and analytics thinking.
  • Travel requirements up to 25%
