We are looking for enthusiastic, intelligent, and organized individuals for a full-time research assistant position working with faculty members in the Center of Excellence for Pediatric Quality Measurement (CEPQM) at Boston Children’s Hospital.

CEPQM is funded through the national Pediatric Quality Measures Program (PQMP) to extend the Center’s prior work that developed pediatric quality of care measures for broad national use. CEPQM has worked on disseminating and implementing two measure sets that were developed in our prior work. We are now in the process of adapting a patient experience survey for use with virtual visits that includes a national field test and psychometric analyses. Additional projects include supporting quality improvement efforts and additional quantitative studies using administrative and electronic health record data.

This Clinical Research Assistant II will be responsible for:
– The coordination of preparation activities and for the daily operations of clinical research studies.
– The screening, consenting, recruitment, and selection of patients for studies.
– Serving as liaison with the study coordinating center and other participating sites.
– Preparing Institutional Review Board (IRB) and Committee on Clinical Investigations (CCI)documentation and submissions in conjunction with the Principal Investigator.
– Conducting data collection activities and preparing analytical reports regarding results of studies.
– Writing articles and summary papers for submission to medical journals.

To qualify, you must have:
– A Bachelor’s degree in an appropriately related discipline, preferably in a Life, Health, or Social Sciences field, with a minimum of one year of related experience.
– Excellent writing and communication skills.
– The analytical skills to gather and interpret data in which the information or problems are moderately complex to complex.
– The ability to prioritize assignments and become familiar with new topics quickly and attentiveness to details.
– The ability to make at least a 1 to 2 year commitment.
