Tuff is a 25-person growth marketing agency that partners closely with startups and scale-ups to help them increase revenue and sales. We specialize in tactics like Google Ads, Technical SEO, Content Strategy, Facebook Ads, TikTok Ads, YouTube, Email, and CRO. Our bread and butter is building efficient, holistic marketing strategies and we do this with our team, process, and style.

We’re now looking for a second Creative Strategist to join the Tuff team. In this position, you’ll be responsible for working closely with Tuff’s in-house creative team, as well as external freelancers and partners, to develop high-performing ad creative for multiple digital channels.


Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Creatively guide the development of ad creative for clients at Tuff
  • Work with clients in a dedicated creative session to outline value props and core messages
  • Manage creative freelancers, source talent & leverage existing client partners to bring creative campaigns to life.
  • Manage creative timelines, deliverables, feedback, and overall execution
  • Write high-impact copy (ads, landing pages, email, website, etc) and creative briefs for high-performing ad creative
  • Report on and manage client expectations for creative assets and deliverables

Within 1 month, you’ll…

  • Shadow Elle on five existing Tuff clients to learn more about Tuff’s growth marketing process.
  • Assist in developing ad creative for 3+ accounts
  • Complete SEO, Facebook, and Google courses with the Tuff team to learn our process for each channel.
  • Work with Elle and Megan (ad creative team) to understand how we approach ad creative and strategy across different ad platforms, in particular onboarding a new creative account, as well as ongoing creative development.

Within 3 months, you’ll…

  • Onboard new clients with a dedicated creative session to outline value props and core messages
  • Manage and own multiple creative projects with different clients at once.
  • Develop assets for TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram with internal designers and external freelancers
  • Consistently produce multiple creative deliverables for specific clients each month based on their unique value props and company stage.

Within 6 months, you’ll…

  • Manage the ad creative strategy for six or seven clients, meeting with them bi-weekly with the growth marketer on the account.
  • Make process improvements to Tuff’s creative flow as it relates to our ad creative process.
  • Meet weekly with the creative team at Tuff to develop specific strategies for each of your clients.

About you:

  • 3-5 years of digital marketing & creative experience
  • Strong knowledge of multiple digital channels and best ways to activate them through messaging and design
  • Strong experience working with creative teams
  • The ability to research, find and deliver actionable creative insights
  • Experience providing creative strategy across multi-channel relationships
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and peers
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, specifically around presentations
  • Effective time management and project management skills


We are a passionate team of twenty-five distributed across the U.S.

You’ll work closely with the whole team. In particular with Elle, Megan, John, and Kristin to get up to speed on current clients and iterate on the creative process at Tuff.

The salary range for this role is $85,000- 110,,000 (we use a compensation formula that adjusts for experience).

Expected salary: $85000 – 110000 per year
