We are looking for our first Director of Global Real Estate to manage our real estate portfolio and help us grow in existing and new regions while maintaining our great culture.

What will you be doing?

  • Take immediate responsibility for Front’s real estate matters (space agreements, leases, lease amendments, letters of intent, contractor, architect and other development agreements, and related legal and compliance issues).
  • Focus on researching, negotiating, and acquiring real estate and space leasing for Front.
  • Consult with internal business partners to determine the need for additional real estate.
  • Conduct inspections of potential properties.
  • Analyze and summarize legal documents on various issues.
  • Negotiate vendor agreements associated with Front’s real estate portfolio, i.e. broker relationships, build-out and design services, furniture and office contents.
  • Provide general operational advice based on lease provisions.
  • Advise on legal aspects of Company transactions and operations, including commercial transactions and other matters.
  • Serve as internal project manager across real estate matters, partnering with Finance (FP&A), People (office experience), Brand/Design, and functional leadership.
  • Assist in reviewing insurance provisions relating to real estate.
  • Manage outside legal counsel and brokers relating to real estate matters.

What skills & experience do you need?

  • Front is looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual with a minimum of 5+ years of leasing and development experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have (i) national leasing and subleasing experience negotiating sophisticated transactions(industrial, commercial and retail leasing), and (ii) real estate acquisition experience with a broad general real estate background, including the ability to handle acquisitions, disposition, finance and other general portfolio management matters.
  • Member in good standing with a state bar within the United States is a plus but being a licensed attorney is not an absolute requirement.
  • Flexible, well-organized and comfortable working in a fast-paced technology environment.
  • Ability and desire to work independently and with little oversight is a must.
  • Ability to make fast and sound decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational and planning skills with the capacity to simultaneously handle a variety of complex matters under strict deadlines and pressure.
  • Ability to form strong working relationship with internal business partners while maintaining firm adherence to legal standards and company’s policies and positions.
