Summary of Job Duties: The Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas invites applicants to apply for the Graduate and Payroll Accounting Coordinator position. Under the Director of Budget and Planning’s direction, the Graduate and Payroll Accounting Coordinator is responsible and accountable for Graduate Assistants administration for the College and processing payroll costing allocations and payroll accounting adjustments.

Graduate Assistant administration includes seating of positions, job changes to the appointment, terminations, and updating all positions changes as necessary. This will involve monitoring the transactions and helping them to get through the approval chain and processing on-demand check requests when necessary.

The Coordinator will be researching any questions involving Graduate Assistant payroll, tracking vacant positions, and updating costing allocations.

The Coordinator is responsible for processing all other payroll costing allocations and payroll accounting adjustments.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.


Minimum Qualifications:

The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a major in sociology, public administration, management or a related field

At least two years of experience in program administration or a related area

Preferred Qualifications:

At least three years of experience with Accounting and Financial Reporting at the University of Arkansas

Experience with the University Workday system

Experience with University payroll processing

Advanced Excel knowledge

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of accounting principles and database management

Excellent communication skills and demonstrated professionalism

Ability to comprehend and assimilate technical and business-related documents

Ability to conduct research and prepare reports

Ability to manage complex Excel spreadsheets

Ability to work independently

Ability to multi-task and to be detail-oriented

Salary Information: $31,950
