We are looking for a talented IT Manager who will be based in the NYC area. The IT Manager will be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of our computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines, supervising the implementation and maintenance of our company’s computing needs. Additionally, the IT Manager has proven professional experience and a detailed knowledge of our industry’s best practices to share with the company.

Additionally, and importantly, the IT Manager must have creative production support experience and can manage render farms, edit systems, storage, and both onsite and cloud backup.

Essential Functions

  • Respond to and delegate Level 1 helpdesk requests:
  • Respond quickly to staff technical assistance using Jira helpdesk ticketing system
  • Communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and asking pertinent questions
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details;
  • Walk staff members through the problem-solving process
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
  • Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
  • Make basic changes to on-prem Active Directory and/or Microsoft 365 and Azure AD, adding or deleting accounts, modifying group memberships and access privileges
  • Support file servers, firewalls, switches, and Wi-Fi access points and controllers
  • Conduct internal backups, both on-site and in the cloud
  • Install, modify, and repair workstation hardware and software
  • Monitor and oversee workstation software deployment
  • Manage hosting and cloud services, including Microsoft 365, Box, Slack, Atlassian Cloud, SmartSheet, AWS, Microsoft Azure, domain registration and DNS, Adobe Creative Cloud Teams, Vimeo, Envato, Acquia, BrowserStack, Figma, and other web development and design tools
  • Manage software licenses
  • Provide IT security audits as needed
  • Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures
  • Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness
  • Support and enforce all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing and service provision
  • Practice asset management for IT hardware, software and equipment
  • Keep current with the latest technologies
  • Manage junior IT staff by recruiting, training, and coaching employees, communicating job expectations, and appraising their performance


  • BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science, MIS or relevant field
  • 3-4 years of related work experience.
  • Proven working experience as an IT Manager or relevant experience
  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
  • Expertise in data center management and data governance
  • Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
  • Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases and remote control
  • Proficiency in English required, proficiency in Spanish a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Customer-oriented and cool-tempered
  • Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks, etc
  • Experience administering and managing Microsoft 365, including SharePoint and Microsoft Teams
  • Knowledge of cloud computing and storage platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Box
  • Knowledge of enterprise firewalls and enterprise Wi-Fi systems
  • Expert knowledge of macOS and Windows
  • Knowledge of Post-Production, Visual Effects, Web Development, and/or Graphic Design industries and toolsets
  • Knowledge of render farms, edit systems, storage, and both onsite and cloud back up.
