Mesilla Valley Hospital (UHS facility) is a free-standing psychiatric hospital in Las Cruces, New Mexico that provides mental health and drug & alcohol addiction services for adolescents, adults, and seniors. Mesilla Valley Hospital has been in operation since 1987, serving those in need of treatment for a variety of psychiatric and substance abuse issues. Mesilla Valley Hospital is a 120-bed facility, providing access to quality behavioral healthcare and substance abuse treatment to residents of New Mexico, West Texas and Arizona.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Payroll Coordinator ensures compliance with corporate policies and procedures. Creates and posts entries to accurately reflect the operations of the hospital. Accurately processes payroll functions and accounts payable functions for the facility which may include report preparation, printing and balancing data entered into the system, master file maintenance and maintaining correspondence. A second payroll is also done on alternate weeks for TFC parents. The Payroll-Accounts Payable Coordinator also prepares, compiles, process payments in different software systems. This position assists the CFO in the preparation of annual budgets and the submission of information to regulatory bodies.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: High school graduate, Bachelors’ Degree preferred in Accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with computers and business software programs particularly Microsoft Office.
SKILLS: Must be self-motivated, goal oriented, attentive to detail and be able to work independently. Must work effectively under pressure and maintain hospital, patient financial and treatment information in the strictest confidence.
