Provides structural analysis support by performing analysis, design, and test of one or more moderately complex materials, structural components, and functional systems of the company’s products. Structural analysis can cover a variety of structures, from MGSE to flight hardware. Analyst is expected to work closely with the program design engineers by providing regular feedback on task status, overall structural performance, and to provide recommendations for meeting the specified task objective. Analysis requests may also include test development and support activities, from modal testing to structural qualification loading tests.

Basic Qualifications

  • Candidate shall possess a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering with 5 years of experience or a Master’s Degree with 3 years of experience, or a PhD with 0 years of experience
  • A Principal Mechanical Engineer level is expected to have a complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts related to structural analysis.
  • Provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems under minimal supervision
  • Work under general direction and independently determine and develop an approach to solve structural analysis problems.
  • Ability to develop technical engineering documentation such as analysis reports, test procedures, and engineering design review presentations
  • Must have good communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Work well in team environment
  • Finite Element Analysis experience
  • Aptitude to balance technical, schedule, cost, and resources in order to meet overall company objectives
  • US citizenship required

Desired Qualifications

  • NASTRAN / FEMAP finite element software is highly desired
  • Composite experience is a plus
  • Programming experience (Python, VBA, Matlab)
  • Prior or current DOD secret clearance

Salary Range: $79,400.00 – $119,200.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
