Principal Program Manager, Prime Video Creative Production & Operations

Job title: Principal Program Manager, Prime Video Creative Production & Operations

Company: Amazon

Job description: DESCRIPTION

Job summary
Prime Video brings together the world’s best creators with the most passionate communities in a way that no other entertainment brand can. Not only are we a one-stop hub for distinctive, critically-acclaimed and award-winning original programming including TV series such as The Boys, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Jack Ryan and movies like Borat Subsequent MovieFilm, Coming 2 America, Cinderella, and The Tomorrow War, but we offer a multi-dimensional experience that allows subscribers to fully immerse themselves in their fandom: to read the book, to listen to the soundtrack, to buy the costume, to replay live sports in real time, and more. And that breadth and connection to the Amazon family of brands, along with the support of a passionate and diverse global team, makes Prime Video a company where creators and makers of all kinds can build their future.

We are seeking an operational and analytical Principal Program Manager, interested in integrating the ever-evolving world of content and brand marketing, with Amazon’s world class logistics, to support the delivery of high-value campaigns to delight our global audience. In this role, you will be instrumental in responding to growth and scale. You will be an extension of, and a critical partner to, the Director of Global Production & Operations, focused on the delivery of high-profile cross-functional business projects which are both global and local in nature. You are comfortable building strategic solutions for highly ambiguous problems and scaling those solutions through partner teams. This role relies heavily on influence, over authority; mechanizing what works and deprecating what does not.

The successful candidate is passionate about their work, and excels when working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders across the Content and Marketing supply chain. Your closest partners span across Programming, Operations, Creative and Product teams. As such, it’s your clear and effective communication, effective time management, creative problem solving and your bias to action which help you earn trust quickly and deliver results. You are relentless in seeing your program to the finish line, without sacrificing quality on behalf of your customers, and skilled at exploring automation for manual efforts to get you there. You will be responsible for reporting on your programs in our quarterly business reviews, and you are comfortable contributing to KPIs and data collection mechanisms, where these do not yet exist.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and automate new and existing processes in a standardized and scalable format
  • Motivating and influencing value-added progress without authority
  • Staying connected to the details of projects and programs with a highly analytical viewpoint
  • Authoring business documents and reports that communicate project scope, progress, results or provide recommendations
  • Setting and driving regular cadence of communications to various internal team members, and cross-functional partner teams
  • Upholding a high standard of integrity and discretion and tactfully handle high-level confidential matters
  • Provide training, such as the implementation of new processes and procedures, as necessary
  • Conducting organizational design work to assess and optimize business design to meet customer needs

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of global operations program and product development, or international business management experience.
  • Direct experience with a variety of digital media workflows and workflow management programs.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, with follow through to meet aggressive deadlines.

  • Background in the entertainment industry is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership, influencing, and execution skills at the executive level.
  • Ability to translate complex ideas into simple and intuitive communications.
  • Demonstrated success in business analysis and strategic planning.
  • Ability to make data and insights accessible to a non-expert audience.

Pursuant to the Los Angeles Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
