In this role, you’ll develop and track metrics and analyze data to promote operational efficiency and inform business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Proactively anticipates cross-functional data and analytic needs and, in collaboration with subject matter experts, develops reports.
  • Leverages subject matter experts to obtain data from multiple systems.
  • Develops, maintains, and continually improves reporting processes.
  • Develops reporting format to meet user needs, customizing analytics and visuals.
  • Specifically, prepares or interprets reports related to budget v. actuals, project progress, or work management.
  • Prepares reports using various visualization and data modeling methods
  • Prepares monthly dashboards for various business units
  • Creates meaningful visuals via Tableau, Excel, or PowerPoint.
  • May provide data for compliance reporting.
  • Ensures data security and integrity.
  • Use data to identify and mitigate process/budget risks.

Strategy and Planning: May coordinate or oversee cross-functional or enterprise-wide scorecard process, including identifying and gathering data and analytics to use, proposing new or modified operational performance metrics, and engaging stakeholders to ensure alignment. Specifically, partners with Line Operations and other departments to identify mitigations for budget variances in T&D Operations.


  • Proactively analyzes complex data from multiple sources and develops regular and predictive forecasts.
  • Conducts benchmarking and identifies differences and trends
  • May develop models and simulations.
  • Identifies risks and recommends mitigation strategies.


  • Serves as an enterprise-wide or cross-functional analytics and operational subject matter expert
  • Proactively provides data-based solutions to anticipated business needs.
  • Leverages data analytics to identify risks and provide decision-making guidance to facilitate business outcomes.
  • Provides data and analytics to inform business decisions.
  • May quantify risks.

Projects and Initiatives:

  • May lead cross-functional data-driven initiatives and projects.
  • Improves business operations through recommendations for business improvement initiatives.
  • Serves as a key subject matter expert for operational metrics and for analytics for key projects and initiatives.


Education: Requires a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, statistics, psychology or other related field or equivalent experience.

Experience: At the principal level, typically 8 or more years in finance, process improvement, project management or related field. At the senior level, 5 or more years in finance, process improvement, project management or related field.

  • Expert skills in using analytic tools including forecasting, predicting trends and gaining insights using past and current data

  • Familiarity with Transmission & Distribution Operations
  • Advanced skills in data visualization and presenting data to diverse audiences
  • Advanced skills in manipulating and blending data in order to design dashboards and visualization
  • Sound knowledge and experience in Excel
  • Familiarity with PL/SQL or related data extraction tools
  • Knowledge of data architecture, data modeling, data mapping, data analysis, and data visualization preferred
