JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Penn State College of Medicine, Heart and Vascular Institute, in Hershey, PA is seeking a Junior Faculty Researcher position. The position is located in the Laboratory of Marc Kaufman. The research focus of the laboratory is on cardiovascular control during exercise in both health and peripheral artery disease. The successful candidate must be able to perform in vivo experiments using genetically modified and wild type preparations in which cardiovascular function will be measured. Likewise, the successful candidate will translate gene silencing developed and verified in vitro with patch clamp electrophysiological techniques to intact behaving preparations. This position offers a highly competitive salary, benefits, and an outstanding research environment.
This is a limited-term non-tenure line position funded for one year from date of hire, with possibility of refunding.
