Job description: Description: A local Western Michigan company is in need of a strong Scrum Master who has done Agile Delivery in a planned delivery (waterfall) environment to add to their Direct-to-Consumer team. They will have been a Scrum Master who has done iterations within the confines of a more structured delivery environment. The Direct-to-Consumer team has a heavy focus on marketing and selling directly to the consumer, which is fairly new. They have historically sold through their retail partners (Sears, Lowes, Menards, Home Depot, etc) but with shifting consumer buying habits, they have to find ways to continue to be competitive in the digital marketplace. These resources aligned to Direct-to-Consumer but will be rolling up through the Delivery PMO. This is a new division of the PMO that is focused on Agile efforts. This Scrum Master/Project Manager will work closely with other groups in the D-to-C org that are more Agile, but due to the nature of the work that this team supports, it requires more dependency management and traditional project management skills. It is important for this person to have been a Scrum Master and actually been a part of Agile delivery even if the overall project was done more traditionally with a planned delivery (waterfall) mindset. This person will be supporting the Agile transformation and helping to get the teams aligned with the agile transformation. This group works closely with the business-to-business e-commerce initiatives of the company and will require someone to work with external customer resources as well. The candidate does NOT have to have the specific technology skills, but have great leadership, organization and communication skills to work with different technical teams and business teams that are aligned to the project. They will have support from the PMO and other team members in the onboarding process, but this candidate should be comfortable reaching out to parties on his/her own to make connections and move the teams forward.
