You will be responsible for performing as a project leader directing and managing the analysis, design, construction, transition, implementation, and maintenance of computer systems relating to the Highway Contract Management Section of the Highway Applications Division. You will also be a technical lead, managing and actively participating in the systems development initiatives and supporting the systems development life cycle (SDLC) of mission critical applications to support PennDOT Highway Applications.

  • Full-time employment
  • Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with a one-hour meal period
  • Multiple positions may be filled from this posting
  • You will be expected to work from home (telework) full-time. You must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.



  • Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as an Applications Developer 2 or Computer Programmer 4; OR three years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, and an associate’s degree in any information technology field; OR five years of information technology experience that includes three years of experience in applications development or applications maintenance; OR one year of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, and a bachelor’s degree in any information technology field; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training.
