Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with software development in C or C++, and with data structures/algorithms.
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 3 years of experience working with embedded operating systems and 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Experience with heterogeneous multi-core and non-traditional memory topologies.
  • Expertise in one or more of the following areas: microcontroller/SoC firmware development, system-level RTOS development (IPC, synchronization primitives, etc.), low-level peripheral drivers and hardware bringup, embedded system security, performance optimization for ARM processors.
  • Understanding of Linux kernel and driver model.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build software for embedded processors within next generation immersive computing products.
  • Write robust, reliable, and efficient low-level software to interface with sensors, displays, wireless chipsets, and other peripherals.
  • Optimize and tune system power and performance across the stack.
  • Work closely with other teams on solving cross-functional problems to create compelling AR experiences on highly-customized hardware platforms.
