Job description:

  • Creating products that are user-friendly, effective, and appealing
  • Creating a suitable color scheme or incorporating the client’s color scheme into the design
  • Coding the site’s navigation
  • Designing buttons and other controls for the site
  • Creating mock-ups of the site for the client’s approval
  • Fixing any functionality issues, including the removal of “dead links”
  • Updating and maintaining the site
  • Making backup files of the site
  • Execute all visual design stages for website and new products from concept to final hand-off to engineering
  • Meet with client to discuss requirements and/or project progress
  • Conceptualize original website and product design ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex roadblocks
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and sitemaps to communicate interaction and design ideas
  • Present and defend designs and key deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
  • Demonstrate and receive feedback about draft sites
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Web Designer/ Developer
  • Experience developing and managing WordPress websites
  • Demonstrates design skills with a strong portfolio
  • Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, or other visual design and wire-framing tools
  • Proficiency in front-end development web programming languages such as HTML and CSS
  • Ideally experienced with front end development platforms like Angular / React
  • Experience with consuming REST web services
  • Understanding of UX/UI (user experience/user interface) design
  • Good Knowledge of SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
  • Up-to-date with the latest Web trends, techniques and technologies
  • BS/MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design or a Visual Arts subject
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
