Job description: Overview

Summary of Responsibilities:

Designs and implements the visual aspects of the Company’s digital marketing, social Web and operating business websites. Collaborates with functional areas to ensure the integrity of the design and the translation of wireframes into a functional, visually pleasing product. Participates in the development of schedules by providing estimates regarding individual Web design tasks. Works with minimal supervision, escalating to Director when necessary, and updating Director on a regular basis.

Position Responsibilities:

Creates visual concepts for digital marketing, social Web, mobile and Company websites.

Develops working prototypes that meet business and user requirements.

Integrates mobile and reponsive frameworks.

Provides support for Company website design and development.

Participates in the development of schedules by providing estimates regarding individual Web design tasks.

Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Selection Criteria:

Demonstrated Web user interface design skills. Must provide examples of work.

Proven knowledge of design applications and processes.

Demonstrated experience of conceptual skills and ability to describe and create prototypes and mockups.

Proven experience with project-based work. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and complete deliverables on schedule.

Demonstrated strong understanding of current Web, email and interactive trends, technologies and best practices.

Proven experience collaborating with design and development teams.

Work Setting:

This position works in an office setting and remains continuously in a stationary position for long periods of time while working at a desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Digital Design, Visual Communications, Graphic Design or equivalent field of study.

Computer Skills and Knowledge of Hardware & Software Required:

Proficient in use of the Internet, Social Media, Mobile.

Proficient in design applications (Adobe Suite, PhotoShop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Bridge, Flex, After Effects).

Proficient in programming languages (HTML, CSS3, Bootstrap, JQuery Mobile).

Certifications & Licenses (i.e., Series 6 & 63, CPA, etc.):

None required.

Position Demands:

Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects.
